Weight: 2 pounds
This shoe is designed for comfort in mind but doesn’t skimp on details and features.
It is really versatile and can be used for indoor cycling and mountain bike trail riding.
The Gavin Elite MTB consists of an adjustable buckle for a fine-tuned fit rather than a velcro strap that may come apart during rides.
This acts as a ratcheting system, making the shoe fit snug and increasing durability.
It has a 2-bolt cleat which is compatible with SPD, Crank Brothers and MTB Pedals.
Although it’s versatile enough to not work with a clipless pedal system too.
This shoe was under $70 upon writing this article!
8. Fizik R5 Road Cycling Shoe
Weight: 8.5 ounces
Colors: 7 colors
Taking on a more aesthetic appearance is the Fizik R5 Road Cycling Shoe.
This shoe is reinforced with a carbon nylon for a fine balance between comfort and pedaling efficiency.
It’s probably the most versatile cycling shoe in this article due to the construction.
It combines the technology of a road cycling shoe with that of a mountain biking shoe, spinning classes, so on and so forth.
However, it’s mostly used for road cycling, both smooth tarmac and rough pavements.
The velcro strap actually wraps over the entire upper of the shoe to ensure a very secure and comfortable fit.
The price is on the steeper end of all shoes listed in this article but that’s because you’re paying for quality and features.

Tommaso combined comfort and performance together to make it versatile and good for road riding, commuting, touring and spin class.

18. PEARL IZUMI Men’s X-Road Fuel V5 Cycling Shoe

Colors: Black/grey, rogue red
So this shoe takes on a more casual appearance rather than a cycling shoe, which is good for someone that wants something lowkey.

The low-cut construction also makes for a fast, clean and light feel.
It is quick drying thanks to the highly breathable mesh material and includes an x-road nylon plate for extra pedaling stability, power and efficency.
It’s not the most stylish cycling shoe out there but definitely good for someone on a budget.

I chose these by finding all affordable cycling shoes with ONLY the best features, best reviews, quality, etc.
