Bottom Line:

These shoes are good for the price and perform well on the basketball courts. However, because they are visually appealing and comfortable, they make good casual/everyday shoes too.

They won’t last for years considering the low price, but in my opinion they are still high value for money.

What is the Adidas Pro Vision Shoe?

The design of the Adidas Pro Vision was inspired by street-ball but includes modern details and technology.

It features a mid-foot cage for foot lock-down and increased support, and a flexible midsole for cushioning and comfort.

This flexible bounce midsole cushioning is specially designed to soften hard landings.

The rubber outsole features a unique traction pattern for lots of grip on the court and increasing durability.

adidas Men's Pro Vision Outsole

The high-abrasion toe cap protects your toes from high impact damage and increases the durability even more.

It comes in 14 different colorways and designs, all specifically designed to increase aesthetics.

There colors range from plain black to a bright red, showing everyone you’re not one to mess with on the court.

Features that Stand Out

High-Abrasion Toe Cap – This reinforced toe capping is not found on many other basketball sneakers, and especially not in this price range. The toe cap protects your toes while increasing longevity of the shoe.

Flexible Bounce Midsole – Another feature that stands out is definitely the flexible bounce midsole. This feature allows for high jumps and landing softly without hurting your feet.

Mid-foot Cage Lockdown – And finally, the mid-foot cage adds a locked-down feeling. It allows the feet to move with the shoe for support and feel like a second skin, rather than the foot move around freely and causing discomfort.

What I Like

The best thing I like is definitely the mid-foot cage lockdown.

I like my shoes to feel snug and comfortable, but my feet moving freely inside the shoe as I move is not going to give me the support I need.

So this would have to be my favorite feature.

However, I also like that there are lots of different color options.

This allows a large majority of people from all walks of life to enjoy the benefits.

There is even a pink color for the ladies to enjoy too!

What I Don’t Like

In my opinion, some of the colors are absolutely hideous.

Sometimes I buy basketball shoes for everyday use rather than playing basketball.

The design is aesthetically pleasing but some of the colorways are ugly.

But of course that is my opinion.

What I find ugly could be the best pair of shoes for someone else.

My favorite colors will have to be the red, orange, black and white.

Things You Should Know

Great Heel Cushioning and Support

As I’ve mentioned a few times throughout this article, this shoe has AMAZING heel support and cushioning.

This allows larger guys to wear them and turn hard landings into soft landings.

Many users have found this to be true.

They Lock You in With the Ankle Pillars

This is the cage lockdown feature I’ve been talking about.

Customers are buying this shoe and feeling the benefits of the mid-foot cage lockdown, and absolutely loving it.

The amount of support from the ankle pillars is what makes this shoe more comfortable on the court and allows for a more smooth and comfortable game.

Lack of Traction on Hardwood Floors

There are reports of a loss of traction on hardwood floors or dusty courts.

This can be a huge problem for indoor basketball players and can pose a tripping hazard.

This is because the herringbone pattern on the rubber outsole is made with thin quality and wears down fast.

They Make Good Casual Shoes

Of course they are designed for basketball, but some of the color options make them good for casual use too.

Some of the colors are absolutely hideous, but others such as the: black and white, red and grey, white, and orange all stand out.

They gets lots of compliments from strangers and some people are even getting asked where they got these shoes from!

Wide Feet Will Have to Go 1/2 Size Up

Adidas Pro Vision Top View

These shoes are true to size for most people, but for those with wide feet will have to size up.

So if you’re someone with feet that split out the sides of the shoe, or want more wiggle room for your toes, then I’m talking to you.

If you’re a size 8, go 8.5.

Or if you’re size 11.5, you will need a size 12.

So on and so forth.

They are Lightweight

These make amazing basketball shoes thanks to the lightweight.

They weigh a small 11.9 ounces, making running, moving, jumping and quick lateral movements a breeze.

The less weight on your feet increases your agility and maneuverability on the court.

Who Should Wear this Shoe?

These are designed for basketball but they aren’t just good for shooting hoops.

There are actually lots of ways to wear them.

Such as:

  • Casual/everyday use
  • Working
  • Standing all day
  • Going out to lunch
  • Going on a date
  • Visiting friends
  • Looking cool

They really do look “cool” so I suggest using them for other things and not just limited to basketball.

However, I would buy 2 different pairs if I were to use them for basketball and casual use.

So who should wear this shoe?

Sneakerheads, casual b-ball players, those who like to look stylish, those who want to stand out, or those who want a comfortable shoe for standing all day.

Where to Get the Adidas Pro Vision Shoe?

Surprisingly enough, these shoes are under $100 bucks.

At the time of writing this article they cost $60 – $80.

They are available on and include a 30-day return policy, which allows customers to get a full refund if they don’t like their purchase.

Do I Recommend this Shoe?

Honestly, the Adidas Pro Vision are good for the price.

Any basketball shoe around $70 is not going to be of high quality so don’t expect this one to last for many years either.

The quality is not there but that’s because of the low price.

However, if you’re willing to pay less for a very comfortable, supportive shoe that performs well on the court, then this is for you.

It has many useful features to make playing basketball easier and I have almost no complaints.

The only thing I don’t like is that some of the color options are ugly, but there are others that look awesome and make the shoe stand out in the crowd.

Due to the few negative things wrong with this shoe, and the vast amount of good feedback it has gained from the community, I would have to say that the Adidas Pro Vision is highly recommended!

Alternative/Similar Shoes

A basketball shoe with more traction and has the same price range is the Under Armour Men’s Lockdown 4. It lacks quality just like the Pro Vision but looks better and has a lot more traction, especially for indoor basketball.

Another shoe that also costs the same is the Nike Men’s AIR Precision II NBK. I’ve personally used this shoe for 4 months now and they have stood the test of time, they are extremely comfortable and have amazing ankle support.

My Final Opinion

Just like all other shoes under $100, they aren’t going to last for years because they lack quality.

However, that’s not to say that they aren’t comfortable or have the support needed for shooting hoops, because they definitely do.

Everyone that uses the Adidas Pro Vision Shoe find them comfortable, true to size and able to cushion hard landings!

Unless you have wide feet then you will have to go at least 1/2 a size up.

But other than that, there is nothing else wrong with these shoes and I find them aesthetically pleasing and high value for money.
