Are Nike Shoes Better Than Adidas?

Nike and Adidas are among the top leading brands in footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services.

They are a force to be reckoned with and rightfully so.

They continue to put out high quality apparel and have proven time and time again that they are of high quality while staying cost-effective.

They’ve held a solid reputation for over 70 years and they will continue to dominate for another 70 years.

So what makes these two brands so good and which out of these two brands has the best shoes?

Well that’s exactly what I want to talk about today and get to the bottom of things.

What Is Nike?

Nike Sneakers

Name: Nike

Founded By: Phil Knight

Year Founded: January 25, 1964

Headquarters: Beaverton, OR

Operating income: ‎US$ 4.44 billion (2018)

Nike’s ultimate mission is to “bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world.”

And that’s why they are renown for their blatant and straightforward “Just Do It” slogan.

Nike shoes are growing each year and combining technology with shows no one saw coming.

Due to the increased number of people getting involved in fitness (9% per year), there are some up and coming big brands.

So Nike has to do whatever it takes to stay ahead of everyone else.

Their new Flyknit shoe has become insanely successful. By the way, these shoes are lightweight, minimalist and fit like socks.

And everyone loves them!

The entire shoe is knitted as one instead of multiple different pieces stitched together. This increases toughness, longevity and extreme comfort.

People like being comfortable and the rise of yoga pants, joggers and comfortable sneakers has made people love Nike shoes because of that.

Now these new Flykit shoes make people even more comfortable. It’s going to lead to more sales and more people on Instagram wearing and recommending Nike shoes.

Nike has also created their first store dedicated only to women! This is a huge deal and makes them stand out from other apparel companies out there.

Adidas is a direct competitor of Nike.

Their slogan is “Impossible is Nothing” and “All in”. These slogans have a huge impact on athletes all around the world.

It lets them know that their is nothing stopping them from reaching their dreams as long as they go all in.

Adidas are a force to be reckoned with as they are also using high-tech technology to create their shoes.

They have recently started 3D printing insoles, a great way to tailor to specific individuals and those who have unique feet.

Adidas have also created a one-piece shoe that possesses a seamless upper, just like the Flyknit shoe, increasing greater style and flexibility.

Adidas has the environment in mind as their shoes are made from recycled materials!

Another huge thing that Adidas does is make their shoes top quality. Every…single…time.

They don’t risk creating a cheap shoe just in case it doesn’t perform as they intended it to.

So all of their shoes have been properly thought out and given the attention they need.

Nike or Adidas Shoes? My Recommendation

As you can see, both have similar high points and none really out do the other.

Mainly the only difference is that Nike gets more sales and they are more well known.

As long as both continue to release top quality shoes and apparel, they are both going to climb at a steady pace.

As someone who is a big shoe lover, I’m leaning more towards Nike for the simple reason that everyone loves them and I’ve been using them for many years.

All of their shoes I have purchased have served me well and I don’t have any negatives about them.

That’s not to say that Adidas doesn’t have quality shoes because they definitely do, it’s just that I am more of a Nike lover and at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

Well that’s my recommendation.

I’d love to know what you think of these two brands. Leave your opinions in the comments below 🙂
