Introduction

Product name: Nike ISPA React WR

Type of Shoe: Running

Best for: Running, walking, casual, most gym workouts

Bad for: Sports, CrossFit

Price: $85 – $412

What is the Nike ISPA React WR Sneaker?

The ISPA React WR features a very unique design that I haven’t seen before.

It has a textile and synthetic upper for a lightweight look and feel, and even features Nike’s react technology for a smooth ride.

The rubber pods on the sides and outsole offer some amazing traction and allows it stay gripped to all kinds of surfaces.

The double-layer mesh promotes ventilation but with more water-resistance and durability than single-layer mesh.

When Nike created this shoe they wanted to utilize the latest innovations and Nike’s ISPA project.

The upper is inspired by Nike HCG hiking boots, and the features were specifically put together to create an extremely sleek and smooth ride for the city.

Nike have dealt their hands and now it’s time to see how this shoe really pans out.

Fit Size and Details

Nike ISPA React WR Running Shoes 2

If you didn’t already know, Nike shoes tend to run small, and that’s the same with the ISPA React WR.

Just get your normal Nike size if you already know it.

But for those that don’t, or anyone coming from a different brand and they are a little confused on how these shoes will fit, I recommend going 1/2 a size up.

Plus there is no complaints about the fit or sizing being off so I have no doubts that if you follow the rules outlined above, you will get the right fit.

Does the Shoe Perform?

Now we’re about to find out the more important stuff, whether or not they are built to perform and stand up to the claims they put out there.

A shoe in this price range needs to be almost perfect, so lets find out.

Running

They feature Nike’s special react technology, lots of traction, they are lightweight, breathable but durable at the same time, and offer reflective points to be seen in low-light areas.

Plus they’re apart of the ISPA project, meaning function and utility are biggest priorities.

They’ve got all the features of a great running shoe and everyone that uses them for running absolutely love them.

They are built to last as reviewers have claimed and stand the test of time.

These shoes are extremely comfortable for running and definitely perform.

Walking

Some reviewers says that they use their Nike ISPA React WR for walking the whole day because of how comfortable they are.

Literally:

They wear them all day and do lots of walking for their job and don’t experience pain or discomfort.

This means they are great for walking and I have no complaints.

Casual/Lifestyle

The sleek and unique appearance, along with the ability to walk in all day makes them perfect lifestyle shoes.

They turn heads everywhere they go and go with almost any outfit.

If you don’t even want them for running but for casual wear instead such as:

  • Going out to lunch or dinner
  • Visiting friends and family
  • Going on a date
  • Shopping
  • Running errands
  • Or any other daily activity

Then you will find them very comfortable.

Anything Else?

Sports – They are a running shoe which means they don’t have enough stability to handle lateral movements that sports require. They are not good for sports and should be avoided to avoid injury

Cross training – I cannot recommend them for cross training or anything of that nature because they require the same lateral movement pattern as sports

Weightlifting – These might actually be okay for weightlifting due to the comfort, durable mesh upper and supportive midsole. Although I’m not 100% that they will be good, there’s no red flags that convinces me otherwise

The gym – They are pretty much good for things like cardio, running, walking, weightlifting, and weight machines. These are all completely fine except cross training due to the lack of stability

What I Like

There’s a few things I like about this shoe actually.

For one, it features a unique and stylish design that turns heads and gets compliments.

Plus the lacing system is interesting and allows the shoe to be secured and close to the wearer, increasing mobility and the confidence that they won’t come loose during intense workout sessions.

I also like how comfortable they are.

Everyone that buys them always talk about the comfort factor because it really is a great shoe with lots of cushioning.

Running shoes aren’t usually this versatile as they are only good for running and walking, but these are quite versatile for what they are.

There’s lots to like and little to hate with the Nike ISPA React WR, so if you can find anything wrong with it please let me know!

The Bad

Although not really a huge deal, it is certainly going to cut out a lot of buyers.

Unfortunately the price tag is a little steeper than the average consumer can afford.

However, the good news is that you’ll be paying for quality and longevity because it does stand the test of time.

Even after a year they still look brand new.

So that’s the only thing bad I could find about this shoe, and it doesn’t even have anything to do with the performance!

The Price & Where to Buy

The price on Nike’s official website is $240 but other sites like Amazon are cheaper.

Amazon sell them for $85 – $412 depending on the size, colorway and seller.

Plus Amazon has a 30-day return policy so those that don’t like their purchase can get a full refund.

I also like their fast deliveries and free shipping!

Do I Recommend the Nike ISPA React WR Running Shoe?

When it comes down to it, this shoe is actually flawless.

You can’t fault it.

Nike has done everything right and nothing wrong.

Even though it has a steep price tag, it is well worth it because it’s built to last and PERFORM.

The other good news is that Nike have put in the time and effort to ensure it works as they want it to, and they have created a great shoe in the process.

It is versatile as it’s used for walking, casual use, the gym and even weightlifting.

Because of the incredible design and the fact that Nike know what they’re doing when it comes to creating flawless shoes, I have no choice but to recommend the hell out of it.

Highly recommended!

Final Verdict

Yes it’s pricier than other running shoes and does not have many reviews due to the lack of purchases.

But the higher in price you get, the less reviews there are because of less purchases.

However the fact of the matter is, these are bound to last much longer than shoes $100 or under.

People have reported that they still look brand new after 1 year, and that’s wearing them about 3x a week.

I think they are amazing and it’ll pay for itself in the long run because you’re spending less over a period of time.

And that concludes my unbiased Nike ISPA React WR review.

As always, I am open for questions so please leave your comments down below and I’ll get back to you asap!

Cheers.
