Is the Nike Pegasus Better than the Vomero?

These two shoes have had a very strong reputation from the day they were released, and that has continued for many years.

Nike Pegasus VS Vomero

Both of them have their pros and cons, but at the end of the day there can only be one winner.

Which one is better?

Which one is worthwhile?

Which one is going to stand the test of time?

There are many questions that need to answered today, so lets get right into this comparison review.

What is the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus?

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus

Name: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus
Best for: Running
True to size: Yes
Arch type: Neutral, high
Average lifespan: 2 – 3 years
Price: $100 – $150

Description

The Pegasus is crafted with an ultra-soft mesh upper for lightweight construction and ventilation.

It has Nike React foam technology to cut down on weight and provide a springy feeling with every stride.

The Air Unit is larger than other Nike shoes. It’s positioned closer to your foot for increased bounce and responsiveness with every step.

One thing I like about the Pegasus is their high-abrasive rubber outsole.

This quality construction is reinforced with extra material to increase life span and grip any surface it comes in contact with.

A fitsole sockliner sits inside the shoe that conforms to the shape of your foot, providing a plush and incredible comfort feeling.

Something I really like about the Pegasus is the Flywire cables that lock you down for speed.

Of course there are many versions of the Nike Pegasus, and these features cover pretty much all of them.

Some have more or less.

My rating: 4.7/5

The Pegasus shoe is one that’s proven to perform over and over again. Whenever you mention Pegasus to a Nike fan, they instantly know what you are talking about, that’s how popular they are.

Nike take pride and joy in the Pegasus and always release new versions to stay up to date with latest trends and demand.

This shoe is perfect for running and will stay that way for many years to come.

  • Proven track record
  • High durability
  • Feature-packed

What is the Nike Air Zoom Vomero?

Nike Air Zoom Vomero

Name: Nike Air Zoom Vomero
Best for: Running
True to size: Yes
Arch type: High, medium, low
Average lifespan: 2 – 3 years
Price: $100 – $150

Description

The Vomero takes on a visually appealing design from the get-go.

The upper is sleek yet feature-packed.

It’s specially engineered for a durable and supportive fit.

The Flyknit material ensures a snug fit while staying lightweight, and allows the wearer to go sockless if required.

It takes responsive cushioning and puts it on steroids, thanks to the full-length Heel Unit combined with Nike React, creating a fast-paced, smooth ride.

It also has Dynamic Fit technology that’s combined with Flywire cables, ensuring a supportive feel in the midfoot area.

The midfoot is prone to all sorts of discomfort due to the wrong arch type, too much or not enough drop, etc.

So it’s good to see that Nike has taken the extra time to put this design together.

It also includes foam pods inside the collar for a comfortable ankle.

My rating: 4.75/5

These shoes are amazing and it’s good to see that Nike have done the groundwork to make it flawless. The reviews from customers are all good and it doesn’t look like there’s many bad things about it.

They are great running shoes which you can count on. They have high durability, they’re comfortable as hell and everyone that buys them loves them.

Pros

  • High comfort factor
  • Lots of features
  • Snug fitting without being restrictive
  • Lightweight and ventilated
  • Very durable

Cons

  • Expensive

What Shoe Do I Recommend?

Look:

Both are flawless in every way possible.

Nike have done everything right to ensure they perform and have little-to-nothing wrong with them.

But there can only be one winner, and if you take a look at my ratings, it’s a very close call.

I am no stranger to these shoes and know how well they perform.

My recommendation is the Nike Air Zoom Vomero because of the snug and plush fit.

Plus they look better and have good colors!

The Vomero may cost a little more but it’s worth it in my opinion.

Well that officially wraps up this comparison article.
