Nike Precision 4: High Quality With A Smashing Price Tag

Is the Nike Precision 4 as good as the previous versions.

Is it just as successful as the 2 and 3?

What’s the quality like? How do they perform? How long do they last?

I will be answering these questions and much more in this review.

I have owned 2 pairs of the Precision 2 and it appears that the 4 is just as good.

However, a full review is in order before coming to any conclusions.

Enjoy.

What is the Nike Precision 4?

The Nike Precision 4 is a basketball shoe with a statement to make.

I own the Precision 2 as well as the Precision NBK 2, and they have beat my expectations by a long shot.

The Nike NBK 2 has lasted me over 1 year so far and only costed me $65 bucks!

While the original Precision 2 has lasted me about 6 months with frequent use, and they still look brand new.

However, lets talk about the 4.

They don’t have much in terms of features, but have clearly made the features they do have the best they can be.

Basically they have implemented the important features for basketball and left out the rest.

These features are durable rubber outsole, cushioning, and knit upper.

The multidirectional outsole includes pivot points that keeps players glued to the floor.

Nike Precision 4 Outsole

The outsole wraps up the sides of the shoe for even more grip.

The reinforced eyelets and toe box increase durability and lifespan.

Bottom line: The Nike Precision 4 has a low-cut design for increased speed and agility on the court. Better suited for lighter players or anyone doing speed work.

Are they true to size?

Nike are known for their ill-fitting shoes, and this one is no different.

They are 1/2 a size too small. Those with neutral feet will have to go 1/2 a size up.

But what about wide feet?

You should still size up by 1/2 nonetheless.

They toe box is a little wider than other Nike sneakers which makes them a viable option for wide feet people.

Comfort, Performance, Longevity

Comfort

Did I mention that the NBK 2 was the most comfortable sneaker I set foot in for the price?

Well the Precision 4 are just as good.

Everyone says how comfortable they are from the moment they step foot in them until they take them off, often times at the end of a long day.

Which brings me to my next point, performance.

Performance

The Precision product line are well known for performing flawlessly while staying affordable.

These shoes are even better than previous versions thanks to the multidrectional rubber outsole, lightweight but breathable construction, and resilient foam cushioning.

Add these together and you have an incredibly lightweight, low-profile shoe that performs for basketball as well as many other activities.

They can be used for walking all day for your job, standing all day, lifting weights, or just casual use.

I use my Precision for weightlifting and casual, and they are still going strong after 1 year.

Longevity

I find that Nike go above and beyond with the quality of their shoes.

They really ensure customers get the best bang for their buck.

They’ve proven this in their predecessors, and the same goes with the 4.

When it comes to longevity, it all depends on how you wear them.

Personally I wear mine 4x a week to the gym and casual use.

So far they’ve lasted me 13 months. I should really update my review on that sneaker actually.

Are they still as comfortable as the day I bought them?

Not as comfortable, but they get the job done. I still use them for weightlifting and general use, and my feet never get sore.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • High value for money
  • Lasts way longer than it should
  • Affordable price tag
  • Comfort and lightweight are #1 priority
  • Highly rated. So much great feedback from buyers
  • Versatile. Great for walking around town, weightlifting, or playing a full game of b-ball
  • Good traction on indoor courts

Cons

  • Runs a bit narrow. Sizing up by a 1/2 is mandatory
  • Not ideal for the rain. Susceptible to moisture-related problems like glue coming off, feet getting wet, etc

Do I recommend them?

Heck yeah I do.

They are some of the better basketball shoes for the price, there’s no arguing that.

That’s why the Precision product line is so popular.

I’ve bought two predecessors so far. They are the Precision 2 and NBK 2.

Both perform superbly.

Are the Nike Precision 4 better than previous versions?

I would have to give that a yes, although there’s only a small number of updates.

They have better tread with the multidirectional pattern, more durable upper, and better design.

The changes Nike have made have really bettered the performance for basketball and increased the durability of the upper, which is going to increase overall lifespan.

Whether I recommend them or not is a no-brainer.

Something better for wide feet

The narrow construction can be a problem for wide feet.

I like to make buying shoes a stress-free process, so no guess work is required on your part.

I don’t want you buying these hoping and praying they’ll fit your wide feet.

I’d rather you get a shoe that’s PROVEN to fit wide feet.

That my friend, is the Under Armour Lockdown 4, another personal favorite of mine.

Nike continue to produce amazing sneakers and the Nike Precision 4 is another successful basketball shoe.

Whether you want it for playing basketball, shooting hoops, styling with your outfit, or just trying to stay comfortable throughout the day, this is the perfect option
