The Full Rundown

The NOBULL Trainer makes so many claims it almost seems too good to be true.

Here are the claims they make.

They’re good for running, climbing, sliding, lifting, and more.

They say the flexible and breathable upper moves with you, so you can move like a ninja.

The upper is constructed with a seamless design called SuperFabric, a very durable, abrasion-resistant and breathable material.

Now onto the outsole.

A unique pattern that you don’t see often, the NOBULL Trainer has lugs for its traction and grip.

NOBULL Trainers Outsole

This allows for multi-environment usage. From indoors to outdoors.

Medial guards and high-quality carbon material protects the sides of the shoe by increasing abrasion-resistance.

What Is NOBULL And What Does This Even Mean?

NOBULL was created by ex-Reebok workers, Marcus Wilson and Michael Schaeffer in 2014.

They are a no-nonsense company that creates nothing but the best shoes.

NOBULL simply means “no bullshit”.

They’re for people who train hard and don’t make excuses.

They cut out all the things a shoe doesn’t need, and puts an emphasis on things it does.

For example:

They cut out unnecessary features, bells and whistles, weak cushioning, low quality materials etc.

If you think gimmicks in your shoes makes you a better lifter, runner, athlete, etc, you’re wrong. To a point.

Nothing can replace some good old fashioned hard work.

NOBULL products perform with you, not for you. No shoe will make you a better athlete.

NOBULL Trainers Pair

Onto the Facts

The fact is, NOBULL Trainer’s are durable and tough.

They’re a no-nonsense shoe that does exactly what a cross training shoe is supposed to do.

Move with you, provide stability, support, comfort, and performance.

They are made for hardcore training sessions and nothing more.

If you’re not a hard worker, or don’t plan on working your ass off, these shoes are not for you.

So What Are They Good For?

They are made strictly for cross training.

Cross training is a mixture of different workouts to increase overall performance.

These include weight training, cardio, jumping, sliding, grinding, rope climbs. Anything that a WOD requires.

This is due to the 4mm heel-to-toe drop and the flat and wide outsole.

The flat oustole keeps the shoe glued to the floor so you don’t roll an ankle or break something while training.

What They Are Not

The NOBULL Trainer’s are not running shoes.

They’re for short distance running if you’re workout requires it, but they are not going to treat you well for long distances.

Over 1 mile they’ll hurt your feet. They do not have enough cushioning, nor do they flex in the right places.

Running shoes have just the right amount of features, technology, cushioning, and flexibility.

These are not made for it.

Keep them strictly for intense cross fit workouts and they will treat you well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are they good cross training shoes?

Yes. NOBULL shoes are created by cross trainers, for cross trainers.

The creators know what cross trainers need in order to reach their goals and smash their workouts out of the park.

Can you run in them?

They can be used for running if your workout requires it.

That means a 5 minute warm up or warm down, or if you’re running to your next exercise.

This does not mean adding them to your daily rotation of running shoes!

Do they run true to size?

Yes. They have a 79% fit rate on Amazon which is average. Not too high, not too low.

Can they be used on the trail?

Sure, but I don’t recommend it. They are training shoes, not running shoes.

They stay comfortable for the activities they are designed for.

Do you need to size up if you have wide feet?

No, your normal size should be good enough to fit correctly.

What if the size I want isn’t available?

Since these shoes are unisex, you can convert the alternative gender into your own size.

There is a 1.5 size difference.

So if you’re a 7.5 in women, you will need a 6 in men.

Or if you’re a 10 in mens, you will need an 11.5.

Are they comfortable for walking, standing or travel?

That’s a no. They do not have the support that casual shoes offer.

They are by no means meant for all day walking around. And if you do that I can guarantee it’ll be painful.

How does it hold up to water?

I don’t see where or why you would want these near water, but to answer this question, my answer is not good.

They are not waterproof or water resistant.

They’re made to let in air to keep your feet cool.

Where are they made?

The big US of A of course. Where else.

What Do I Think About the NOBULL Trainer?

Theses shoes perform so well for intense cross training sessions.

They are made to tackle any and all WOD sessions, easily and effortlessly.

They do not have much features, but they do have support, durability, stability, comfort and flexibility.

All of these put together make up a great cross training shoe, and they are some of the better shoes out there at this price point.

For some reason people think they are lifting shoes, so they put 500+ pounds on the bar and performance goes out the window.

They compress under extremely heavy loads.

If you want a shoe that can actually withstand these loads you will need to get a weightlifting shoe (Check out the Adidas Adipower 2).

Otherwise do I recommend the NOBULL Trainer?

Hell yeah I do.

They perform incredibly well for cross training exercises and will last at least a couple years.

The Verdict: No-Nonsense, Hard Working, Tough

If you want these shoes you better be prepared to put in the work and really put them through hell.

Because they can handle it.

They are tough.

They are made for hardcore training.

Give it all you have and you won’t be let down.

They are made to handle the rough and hardcore athlete.

And that’s the bottom line.
