The Reebok Lifter PR 2 are fairly new, so there is not a lot of feedback from the community. However, I am no stranger to Reebok and know their brand quite well.

Today I will be reviewing the Reebok Lifter PR 2 because no one is talking about it.

Why am I qualified to write this article?

Because I am a weightlifter at heart and have been hitting the gym for 9 consecutive years.

I know what a good weightlifting shoe consists of and that’s what I want to get to the bottom of today.

These shoes are good quality for the price and will last about 1 – 2 years, maybe more.

They are best for beginners since they are affordable and durable with resilient cushioning and shock absorption.

I have an alternative at the bottom of this article for more serious gym rats that have been going for years.

But after reviewing the Reebok Lifter PR 2 shoes, I have no complaints about them and think they are perfect for newbies starting out in the gym.

The Reebok Lifter PR 2 is an upgraded version of the regular PR’s.

The regular focused more on entry-levels starting out in weightlifting, and it looks like the PR 2 are carrying on that same path.

Fun fact: PR stands for Personal Record. These shoes are designed for lifting heavy weights so you can always go for that new personal best.

They’ve upgraded it with a strong and more durable upper, but keeping that trend of staying lightweight and ventilated with the textile mesh upper.

The low cut design promotes freedom of movement while the heel strap ensures security and lockdown.

The EVA midsole provides resilient cushioning and shock absorption, and the rubber outsoles provides traction.

Unfortunately there isn’t much purchases at the time of writing this article, but I can update it as new information is found.

Are they true to size?


I have reviewed other Reebok shoes on this blog, and the majority of them are lifting shoes.

Reebok are well known for having shoes that fit true and I have no doubts that these do as well.

Just keep in mind that the first version had a narrow width and so do these.

Normal size feet might find it a bit snug when first worn but eventually breaks in and becomes comfortable.

However, those with wide feet will have to go 1/2 a size up just for that extra bit of room in the forefoot area.

Comfort, Performance, Longevity


Comfort

Comfort will always be number 1 priority in any shoe.

Comfort will make or break your time in the gym.

Comfort triumphs design, aesthetics, longevity, all of that.

It’s what makes the difference between constantly feeling pain and discouragement VS hitting those PR’s easily and efficiently on a regular basis.

Are the Reebok Lifter PR 2 shoes comfortable?

Based on what I have seen so far, and the fact that the regular versions were a big winner, as long as you get the right size, I have no doubts that they are comfortable.

Reebok are my favorite brand for weightlifting shoes because they know what they are doing and not afraid to think outside the box.

Performance

Performance wise, these shoes are amazing.

They are designed for hitting PR’s which is going to bring you up to the next level with little-to-no injuries.

For example: They are best for big lifts like squats, deadlifts, clean and jerks, snatches, military presses, etc.

The cushioning is made to absorb the bulk of the weight so your joints, tendons, and bones stay safe with less impact on them.

Whether you’re starting out in the gym or been going for years, it seems they are geared towards entry-level gym goers.

That is not a bad thing.

They are an affordable pair of weightlifting shoes so newbies don’t have to spend and arm an a leg.

When you become more experienced, you can move up in quality and price.

Longevity

How long does they last?

No doubt this is one of the biggest questions on your mind.

The first Reebok Lifter PR shoes had reviews of people just starting to use them, so they did not have any proof of longevity.

Others said that they were good but it’s better to spend a little more for something of higher quality.

These shoes are $150 on Reebok’s official website and about $100 on Amazon.com.

They are not made to last for years, they are entry-level weightlifting shoes for newbies to get their feet wet.

Don’t expect anything more than that and you will be fine.

Regarding the longevity, they’ll easily last 1-2 years.

That is 0.13 cents a day, not bad if you ask me.

Use them a few times a week and you’ll get even more out of them.

If you’ve been in the weightlifting game for awhile and need something higher quality and bound to last many years, you should consider opting for the Reebok Legacy Lifter.

The name probably rings a bell and that’s because they are well known gym shoes that have stood the test of time and proven to perform.

They help correct form, provide stability, and increase weight.

They are my favorite for squats, deadlifts, overhead press, clean and jerk, and more.

As far as I know, there’s nothing wrong with the Reebok Lifter PR 2.

Of course the lack of reviews is a big problem as we base a lot of information off the feedback of the community.

In saying that, the original Reebok Lifter PR’s were a huge success and everyone seemed to love them.

I have no doubts that they are just as good and provide the performance you require.

They are affordable and good quality which makes them perfect for beginners.

At the moment I have nothing bad to say about them but that could change in the future.

For now they are highly recommended and definitely worth the price!
