Shoes I Love

Over the last few months I have come across some amazing shoes and I wanted to do an article outlining my favorite ones.

I like shoes when they are of good quality, work as intended to and good value for money.

So you can bet your bottom dollar I am putting nothing but the best ones that I love in this article.

Also I will be adding to this list every time I find a shoe I love.

Enjoy.

1. Nike Kyrie 5 (Basketball Shoe)

Nike Kyrie 5

So the Nike Kyrie 5 happens to be the most flawless basketball shoe I have reviewed so far.

They are made to be very comfortable, durable, and have lots of traction for both indoor and outdoor basketball.

Yes that are a little on the pricier side but when you take into consideration the quality and the visually appealing design, it makes it worthwhile.

2. Altra Lone Peak 4.0 (Trail Running Shoe)

Altra Lone Peak 4.0 Running Shoe

The Altra Lone Peak is made for trail running and stands out to me due to the features and immense comfort it offers.

It’s maintained a good reputation within the running community and sits at a good price range.

Other reasons I like this shoe is because of the ventilation, they are good for all arch types, they fit true to size and even fit people with wide feet!

3. Adidas Pro Next 2019 (Basketball Shoe)

Men's Pro Next 2019 Basketball Shoe - Blue

These shoes look absolutely amazing and come in 11 different colorways. It’s the reason I reviewed them in the first place.

It’s made with ultimate comfort and stability in mind and doesn’t skimp on features, even with the low price tag.

They can be used for indoor and outdoor basketball but I prefer to wear them for casual settings because they just look so sleek and cool.

4. Under Armour Men’s Lockdown 4 (Basketball Shoe)

Under Armour Men's Lockdown 4

Okay now you officially know I’m in love with basketball shoes, not actually for playing sport but because they look amazing and can be worn for pretty much anything.

The Lockdown 4 happens to be one of the cheapest basketball shoes with the most traction.

They are good for wide feet, lightweight and have plenty of color options, along with a cheap price tag!

5. Nike Air Max 720 (Walking Shoe)

Nike Air Max 720

Nike makes some amazing shoes, and this one is no different.

It may look bulky but it actually performs in almost any activity. It’s commonly used for walking, running, all-day comfort and running errands.

It has a futuristic look and maximizes features for immense comfort, traction and stability.

It’s a little pricier than other shoes mentioned but definitely worth it.

6. Nike Men’s AIR Precision II NBK (Basketball Shoe)

I have personally used this shoe for weightlifting and that’s the reason I have included it in this list.

These shoes stand the test of time, can be used for basketball or weightlifting and offers immense comfort other cheap shoes don’t offer.

The padded tongue and collar make it feel like I’m walking on clouds. Plus it was only $65!

7. Altra CAYD Sneaker (Casual, Office, Professional Settings)

ALTRA Men's CAYD Sneaker

The Altra CAYD Sneaker is made for casual use but completely dominates professional settings such as the office, interviews, meetings, etc.

It’s on the pricier side but the quality and attention-to-detail outweighs the small negative.

There are also a bunch of colors to help anyone find one they like.

8. Altra Instinct 4.5 (Running Shoe)

Altra Instinct 4.5 Shoe

Another great shoe from Altra is the Instinct 4.5. It’s made for running but stands out due to the versatility abilities.

It can even be used for standing all day, walking, running, going to the gym, or simply going out and running errands.

It has many features and a bone and tendon map to help your toes spread out naturally.

9. Ryka Devotion Plus 2 (Walking Shoe)

Ryka Women's Devotion Plus 2 Walking Shoe

I initially gave this shoe a rating of 4.7 and I still stand by that.

The fact that it’s very versatile, good for wide feet, provides all-day comfort and even helps eliminate foot problem, makes this a no-brainer.

The unfortunate part is that it’s only made for women but does make a great shoe for the price nonetheless.

Final Opinion

Well so far that concludes the shoes I love and recommend.

I’m not much of a runner or walker as I purchase my shoes for aesthetics and weightlifting.

However, the walking and running shoes in this article perform like a charm otherwise I wouldn’t recommend them.

My favorite shoe in this list is by far the Nike Kyrie 5, which is why it sits at #1, of course 🙂

Well there you have it, my top favorite shoes.

I will add to this list as time goes on.

But for now, thanks for reading and have a great day.

Oh and please leave your thoughts and comments down below and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

  1. I have a friend that says that basketball shoes should not be used for actual basketball but should only be used as shoes for outing. There’s definitely some truth in that as I have come across the shoes on this list. They look too cool and sleek to wear to the basketball court. You definitely do not want to do that. I love these shoes and I would definitely love to get myself one of these.

    • Haha, it all depends on how dedicated you are to b-ball. If you’re really wanting to dominate the court, a nice pair of expensive kicks is going to keep everyone crying at how good you are.

But if you’re just trying to play for fun, use a much cheaper basketball shoe and keep your expensive kicks for looking cool 🙂

  2. Really nice article, I also have some consideration to do with the Nike air max, There are certain features that running shoes need to have if they are going to be considered to be good. The shoe needs to be comfortable, fits good, offer high performance and has great traction.

When it comes to the Nike Air Max, any series, it is able to do this extremely well. The comfort of the shoe is courtesy of the technologically advanced Nike Air Max Cushioning system. Very good article, I love it. Very honest anyway in the description of any product.

    • I love the Nike Air Max cushioning system. I personally think it’s one of the best features they have.

      Comfortable shoes = happy feet

  3. Hi Brandon, When I was younger I owned a pair of Nike air max which was very popular when I was young. I remember they were very expensive but very comfy as well. I just checked out the Kyrie 5 you suggested and I searched for the female version but I think 2 two pairs I found were kids pairs. They were very nice though, Even though you mentioned they are a bit more expensive I didn’t realize the current pricing going on Nike’s and was quite surprised.

I suppose you get where you pay for and you will be the owner of a fantastic pair of shoes. I am sure my daughter would love a pair of these very cool shoes. Thanks a lot for sharing this review. Jude

    • Although they are only available in men’s, there are a bunch of neutral color options for women as well.

Or more specifically, the Black/Volt/Hyper Pink colorway.

  4. This is a very good shoe that does everything well with great traction, fit, and decent cushioning. The Nike Kyrie 5 offers plenty of court feel, a little bit of cushion, great lock down and aggressive traction wrapped up in a lightweight package. I must tell you i really love them.

    • You are right, they are actually pretty lightweight when you factor in all the features and bulky design (13.1 ounces total).

  5. Yeah, I too really love the design on that Nike Kyrie 5. I love that it’s a bit unconventional with all the colors and stuff. Plus, given that it provides great traction for both indoors and outdoors, I think it’s an extremely diverse option. I mean, typically I feel we would have to get a pair for each of the settings. But with this, we can kind of forgo that. And hence, save a bit of money. Therefore, I think it’s fine that they’re a bit on the pricey side of things.

I imagine I personally would really enjoy wearing this simply as my day-to-day shoe.

I will check out your full review on them.

    Cheers, and thank you!

I’m glad you like the Nike Kyrie 5 as it’s such a great shoe, well constructed, high quality and has attention-to-detail.

They are one of my favorite basketball shoes so far, that’s why I had to include it in this last.
